I’m Ciara- a mum of three, a qualified teacher with over ten years’ experience, and a sleep consultant.

I built this business from my hardest moments.
I took what nearly broke me and turned it into something powerful.

Before I became a mum, I was certain I would never sleep train. To me, it felt like it meant leaving babies to cry, going against our instincts, and doing something that didn’t sit right. I couldn’t imagine supporting families in that way.

In June 2022, I became a mum for the first time and everything changed.

My first birth was traumatic, and my little boy, Oisin, spent time in ICU. From the very beginning, sleep was a challenge. When Oisin was five months old, I found out I was pregnant again. My husband and I are both teachers, already running on empty, and suddenly trying to work out how we would cope with two children so close in age.

As the months went on, Oisin’s sleep became harder and harder. By seven months old, he was waking every 20 minutes through the night. I fed him back to sleep constantly because I didn’t know what else to do. Every time I tried something different, he screamed. Naps were a battle - hours of rocking, only for him to wake moments later. I was completely worn down.

We were living far from family, and maternity leave felt incredibly isolating. Most of my friends either didn’t have children or were teachers like me, which made term time especially lonely. To make things harder, Oisin hated the car, so even visiting family felt impossible.

When Oisin was seven months old, we decided to sleep train and it was life-changing.

Not just for our nights, but for my confidence, my mindset, and how I showed up as a mum. His sleep improved, my anxiety lifted, and even things like car journeys became easier. That was the moment something shifted for me.

By the time my second baby arrived, I understood sleep differently. I used what I’d learned and supported Tadhg’s sleep from four months old, and it worked. With just a 13-month age gap between my boys, learning how to plan days, manage naps, and make sleep work in real life quickly became my superpower and something I now bring into my work with families.

I went on to train formally as a sleep consultant, but as I worked with more parents, I began questioning everything. So much of what I saw online and even what I was taught simply wasn’t backed by evidence or helpful in practice.

Parents were being given more pressure, more rules, and more things to worry about.

So I built my business differently.

I focus on what actually works for real families. I don’t use sleep logs, I don’t write huge, rigid plans, and I don’t follow generic wake windows. I don’t believe in creating fear around being “overtired” -there’s no evidence to support it, and parents don’t need more stress.

What parents need is support.
Support that fits real life.

Now, I’m a proud mum of three. My boys are best friends, and we’ve recently added our little girl, Orla, ith to their gang. I built this business from my hardest moments and now I get to support other mums through theirs.

I truly love this work, and I feel incredibly privileged to walk alongside families during such a vulnerable, exhausting, and important time.
